The Power of Synergy for Gut & Body

First up, big shout out to the lovey group of DC’s who spent the weekend with me in Wales.

What a great bunch, and great learning done by all.

A key consideration when giving supplementation and lifestyle change is the concept:

“the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.”

One thing might be all they need, but for the chronic and more complex (or very acute) often it is a combination.

We call this treatment stacking:

We have talked before about our evidence proven human probiotics, Everyday BIOTICS (note 99% of probiotics have never been tested on humans).

Full re-read here 👇

We have published proof it works:

And for Biome RESCUE, its the same:

With the patented spore forming bacillus BSCU1.

Combined with a patented saccharomyces boulardii

Re-read about that amazing yeast here:

These two products contain four different types of biota:

  • Lactobacillus (acidophilus CUL60 & CUL21)
  • Bifidobacteria (bifidum CUL20 & CUL34)
  • Saccharomyces boulardii (a yeast technically)
  • Bacillus spore former (BSCU1)

The power of each individually is good, but together they are exceptional.

Let’s see how this plays out in an RCT with some other strains of bacteria where they combine for synergy.

Here they use strains of lactobacillus, bifidobacteria, and saccharomyces boulardii for 30 days, in a group with IBS and tested for SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth), some +ve some -ve.

And the results are pretty striking:

Note if they tested +ve for bacterial overgrowth (SIBO), then the results were far more positive.

It makes sense that if there is an overgrowth, then probiotics will be better at improving symptoms.

IBS patients can also have food intolerances or poor digestive HCL or enzymes that are driving their symptoms as well as, or instead of, bacterial overgrowth – but a probiotic is an easy entry as patient understanding and compliance is high.

A key SIBO symptom is bloating post meals especially with high carbohydrate intake or FODMAP foods.

The % change with the combination formula is exactly what we love; you give two products, but you get more than double.

Can SIBO give you aches and pains?

You know it, 100% correlation with SIBO and fibromyalgia in this study.

Their IBS isn’t just a pain in the gut, it’s a pain in the head, neck, back and body.
